Every country will tell you about itself. None of them will tell you about you.

France sends you a career statement covering your French years. Germany sends one covering your German years. Belgium does the same. Each is accurate, and each stops at the border — the French one says so on its own face.

Luxembourg, where a great many cross-border careers are actually spent, sends no projection at all. So the person with the most complicated pension in Europe is the one given the least help understanding it.

A pension figure is only worth as much as what it rests on. Some of yours is settled — read off an official record and checked against the issuer’s own arithmetic. Some is an estimate that depends on assumptions about a future nobody knows. Those are different things, and we mark them differently everywhere they appear.

● Verified: Taken from an official document and reconciled against the figures printed on it.
● Estimated: Calculated under stated assumptions. You can see them, and you can change them.
● Action needed: Something is missing that would materially change the answer, and it is worth your time.
